British High Commission is a British diplomatic mission, equivalent to an Embassy, found in countries that are members of the Commonwealth's. Of Nation's. Their general purpose is to provide diplomatic relationships as well as travel information, passports, dual-citizenship information, and other services between Commonwealth states. Where some Commonwealth countries are not represented in another Commonwealth country, the British High Commission can assist such Commonwealth countries' citizens in some cases. Some countries that were outside the Commonwealth, but have now returned to their membership of the Commonwealth, have replaced their embassies and ambassadors with High Commissions and High Commissioners.Countries belonging to the Commonwealth's of Nations typically exchange High Commissioner's rather than Ambassador's. Though there are a few technical differences, they are in practice the same office. The following persons have served as British High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The state of Pakistan was established on 14 August 1947 in the eastern and northwestern regions of British Indian. In 1972, Pakistan temporarily withdrew from the Commonwealth, and until it rejoined in 1989, the mission in Islamabad became an Embassy, headed by an Ambassador.

Very poor customer services even for British citizens Will not return our examination fees for O levels. British council needs better leadership No communication at all from their side or even an acknowledgement of our email. I did not even want to give one star.

Very bad experience of waiting out side the embassay. they dont welcome u..... they treat u like a threat...... Park your car far from the embassay. wait minimum 1 hour outside the embassay in hot, cold, rainy weather. wait under the trees shadow, and sit on the road and dust. Totally disrespectful....... Kindly make arrangements for the visitors. especially for the waiting areaa.....

Only visited the British Club bar and restaurant open in the evenings until 10pm. Well looked after by bar staff. You can get bottled beers, wine and spirits and order some food. Do remember that medium spiced in Pakistan is very hot indeed. Even here. Food was authentic, tasty and good priced. You must get a day pass to enter the Club. Once there you buy booklets of 10 or 20 pounds and use it to pay for the drinks. It is a friendly and relaxed environment. TV, billiard table, tennis court. On the menu also English Food options, if feeling homesick.
