Shayyan read law at the University of London and was admitted as a Barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. She is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan and also holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School. She was an Associate at a reputable law firm based in Islamabad and served as Law Clerk and then Research Officer (BS-19) to a former Chief Justice of Pakistan and a Judge of the Supreme Court.
