Shams Power is Pakistan based solar energy developer and project investor/owner pioneering the distributed solar model in Pakistan’s Industrial and Commercial sectors, on a Power Purchase Agreement basis. Established in 2015 by three of Pakistan’s leading energy companies, PITCO, Saba Power and Orient Power, Shams Power has a growing portfolio of solar investments across the Industrial and Commercial sectors in Pakistan. A further 50MW is under development. Shams Power is also the first (and to date only) Pakistani company to have received a Distribution License from the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for distributed solar power sales. Shams Power’s management team brings substantial experience in setting up and undertaking O&M of power projects. PITCO has setup over 3,500 MW of power generation to date, and Saba Power and Orient Power owns and operates over 550MW of thermal and solar power plants.
