Museum doesn't have much artifacts to view. There are just few photos and a sword hanging. The building is being used as restaurant, marriage hall and conference room. Surrounding are just average and far more better places are in Swat. If anyone is still keen to visit the White Palace museum then it's just a one time visit.
We went there in summer and felt quite good. So basically this is not a place for a long term stay. you can stay there but I won't recommend it. Just go there enjoy for a while eating something and hit the road again for somewhere else. It's a Historical spot, Attractive one and Climate is amazing. There is a small shopping centre where you can buy Antique items for decoration.
Building is not maintained properly anymore but it has its own vibe and area around us quite nice.
A decade ago, staying at the "White Palace"" was a privilege granted to few people. Holding an event there was something to be proud off. Now, it is sad to see the current state of the Palace. The Wali-i-Swat and his cabinet must be spinning in their graves to see the destruction wrought upon their work. The Palace gas really gone seedy, and crowd is not really the elite. It was crowded, dirty and ill-organized. The only reason the place is getting two stars is the wait staff. That guy was running around doing everything. He was quick, and helpful; while the food was nice (not excellent, but still better than a lot of other places). The dishes were clean (still a but wet though). Thus, he made the experience nice, while the natural beauty speaks for itself. All in all, Basil Fawlty was really needed here.
I would recommend visiting this place with family. There are camping spots right behind the palace where you can cook and have a relaxing family moments
White palace is a historical place, fully made by white marble, cultural shops are there, Good view from the palace. It was made by first king of Swat. Can stay there by booking the rooms of palace. Peaceful area with river.
Good museum to spend one or two hours There are hotels now. They give free juice when you buy ticket to visit Lot of beautiful scene on the way
