A must visit place, situated in the North east of the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in Tehsil Katlang, district Mardan. Approximately this place is 22km away from Mardan City. government and local community need to take care of this archaeolical site, because one one hand this is a revenue generating spot, one the other hand it is an archaeolical site. Government should invest on it. Roads are very poor, information boards are necessary to along with each remain. Local , national and foreign visitor must visit this place along with their family.

Jamal Garhi is a small town located 13 kilometers from Mardan at Katlang-Mardan road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan. Jamal Garhi was a Buddhist monastery from the first until the fifth century AD at a time when Buddhism flourished in this part of the Indian subcontinent. There is a beautiful monastery and main stupa, surrounded by chapels closely packed together.[1] The site is called ‘The Jamal Garhi Kandarat or Kafiro Kote’ by the locals.
